Four organizations moved to NEXA in six weeks. Here is the record.
Between late August and early October 2026, a national brokerage, a VA-focused brokerage, a $100 million Guild team and a Rate branch leader all moved onto the NEXA platform - on top of a net 513 loan officers in twelve months. This page is the sourced ledger, so you can check every number yourself.

The loan officer and branch counts come from NEXA Mortgage, LLC's own NMLS Consumer Access record - the national licensing registry. You can verify both at nmlsconsumeraccess.org by searching company 1660690. Production reporting lags headcount: RETR data put annual volume at $14.15 billion at the UMortgage acquisition, the companies projected it above $16 billion, and more teams have joined since.
Model Match figures track loan officer movement and the historical production associated with those originators - not companywide funded volume.
Who moved, and what they said about why.
- UMortgage - August 2026. A national independent brokerage with 246 loan officers and about $2.05 billion in trailing-12-month production, acquired by NEXA. Founder and CEO Anthony Casa became an Executive Partner, along with Jimmy Hobson, Nash Paradise and Tyler Hodgson. UMortgage keeps its brand. The full story.
- Mortgage Nerds - September 2026. A VA-focused brokerage led by Mike Cox, joining one day after NEXA launched NEXA Unlimited. It keeps its brand while using NEXA's infrastructure, servicing and borrower-retention capabilities to scale.
- Bookspan Baker Team - September 2026. Todd Bookspan and Matt Baker, from Guild Mortgage - one of the largest distributed retail lenders in the country. More than $1 billion originated and on pace for about $100 million in 2026. They launched Keepsake Loans to house the team. This team came from retail, not the broker channel.
- Andrew Deyo and team - October 2026. A branch leader from Rate with a team representing about $100 million in annual production. A 13-year Army veteran whose business is concentrated in VA lending.
What all four have in common.
- They kept their brands. UMortgage, Mortgage Nerds and the Bookspan Baker Team all retained their identity. Keep the brand and the client relationships, move the infrastructure.
- Servicing came up repeatedly. Borrower retention and servicing through eVOLend appear across the coverage of these moves.
- Two came from retail. Bookspan Baker from Guild and Deyo from Rate - experienced retail producers choosing a broker platform, not just brokers consolidating with brokers.
- The economics were the stated reason. Scale, technology, product access and more ways for their loan officers to earn.
The useful question is not whether the wave is real. It is who you ride it with.
If you are reading this, you have probably decided the 100% revenue model and the platform make sense for your business. The remaining question is the one corporate cannot answer for you.
Everybody who joins NEXA gets the same compensation plan, the same lender panel and the same technology. What differs completely is the sponsor: who answers your first file, who works your pipeline with you, who covers what at onboarding, and whether anyone picks up when it matters.
What this page does not claim.
- These organizations joined NEXA, not any individual sponsor. Every one of these moves is attributed in the public record to NEXA, its platform and its leadership. Nobody on this page joined because of me.
- Momentum is not a guarantee. The model still provides no leads and no salary.
- Model Match measures movement, not funded volume. It tracks loan officer migration and the historical production associated with those originators.
- Figures change. Everything here is dated. Verify current numbers with NEXA directly.
Disclosure: I am a NEXA Executive Partner and I earn revenue share when loan officers I sponsor fund loans. I benefit if you join through me. Read this page with that in mind, and compare me to at least two other sponsors before you decide.
