How to join NEXA, step by step.
The sequence is not complicated, but it is specific - and knowing the order saves you a week. Here is the whole path from application to first funded loan.
Joining NEXA takes roughly four weeks from application to first loan submission. You need an active or licensable MLO license, a background and credit check, and an employment application with your W-2 or 1099 compensation election. Onboarding runs through a live Zoom session covering ID verification, fees and NMLS sponsorship, and credentials can issue the same day.
What you need before you start.
- An active MLO license. NEXA sponsors your license in each state you operate in. You must be licensed or licensable in that state.
- A background and credit check. Completed during onboarding compliance.
- A self-generation plan. NEXA provides no leads. You do not need a book to apply, but you need to be able to describe how you will build one.
- Your compensation election. W-2 or 1099, depending on your state's rules.
- E&O enrollment and company policy acknowledgement.
Requirements are set by NEXA Mortgage, LLC and by state regulation. Confirm your state's requirements with your sponsor.

Four things to do first.
- Know every fee. Before your live session, not during it. How I handle onboarding cost.
- Read the honest review. Including the drawbacks. Pros and cons.
- Pick your sponsor deliberately. Corporate is identical for everyone. The sponsor is the variable. The twelve questions to ask.
- Bring your referral plan. Come to the call able to describe who sends you business. It is the fastest way to know whether this fits.
